Part 2: How to Bind the Account to a Mobile Phone?

Step 1:
Please click the avatar and select "Account Security" in the drop-down menu. Click "Set" in the "Phone" section:


Step 2:
On the next page, please click "Send Code". It will ask for the 6 digit verification code from the e-mail sent to you. Please make sure to enter this code within 10 minutes.


Step 3:
On this page, please select the country code, input the phone number you wish to bind and click "Send Code". The verification code will be sent to your phone through SMS. Input the verification code and click "Activate" to activate.


Congratulations, you have activated the phone number with your account!


Part 3: How to Change the Bound Phone Number? What to do If the Phone Is Unavailable?

Situation 1. For available phone change

If you want to change your bound phone number, and can log in KuCoin account, please click on "Security Settings" - "Phone" - "Change". Choose SMS Verification or Email+Google 2FA Verification to complete the verification. Please enter your new mobile number to get the SMS verification code and enter a valid SMS verification code to activate the new mobile number.

Note: After you have changed the mobile phone number, for the security of your assets, your KuCoin and KuCoin Future withdrawal and P2P Fiat Trade selling service will be temporarily suspended for the next 24 hours.


Situation 2. Your old phone number cannot be used anymore and cannot log in, need to be changed to a new one

After entering the account password and clicking "Log in"Please click "Switch to SMS Verification" and you will see the button of "Phone unavailable?". Finish Security Verification, Identity Verification and Bind New Phone Number, your changing request will be submitted and relevant agents will handle your request within hours.


Situation 3. Your old phone number cannot be used anymore and cannot log in, but have no other phone number to be changed

If you encounter this situation, please contact the online customer service or submit a ticket for further help.
