Security is one of KuCoin's top concerns. To protect your account and avoid any potential theft of your assets, KuCoin has introduced a mobile phone binding feature.

To ensure your account security, it is recommended that you implement multiple security settings at the same time. For instance, a good security combination can be Google 2FA Verification + Email Binding + Trading Password or Mobile Phone Binding + Trading Password.

1. Countries Supported for Mobile Binding

KuCoin currently supports mobile phone registration and binding services in 221 countries. For the specific list of countries that support mobile phone number registration and binding, please refer to the registration page or mobile phone binding page. We're diligently expanding our SMS services to encompass additional countries. Your anticipation is greatly appreciated as we work on this enhancement.

Tips:

• Based on KuCoin's current security settings, if you are not able to bind your mobile phone, you will be required to bind a Google 2FA Verification. Please click here to learn more about how to bind a Google 2FA.
  

2. How to Bind Mobile Phone

Step 1. Click on the avatar and select Account Security in the drop-down menu. Click Set in the Phone section.

Step 2. You will be asked to enter a verification code, either a Google 2FA code or an email verification code

.

Step 3. On this next page, please select the country code, input the phone number you wish to bind and click Send Code. The verification code will be sent to your mobile phone through SMS. Input the verification code and click Activate to complete.

3. How to Change the Bound Phone Number

(1). If you want to change your bound phone number and can still access the previous phone number, log into your KuCoin account, and click on Security Settings – Phone – Change.

Choose SMS Verification or Email + Google 2FA Verification to complete the verification. Then enter your new mobile number to get the SMS verification code to activate it.

(2). If you cannot access the previous phone number, go to the Login page, and click on Switch to SMS Verification after entering the password, then you will see the button Phone unavailable?.

Click on it to finish Security Verification and Identity Verification, and then you will be able to Bind a New Phone Number.

 

(3). If you cannot access the previous phone number and do not have a new phone number at present, please contact online customer service or submit a ticket for further help.

Tips:

• To ensure your account security, the withdrawal services on KuCoin and the P2P Fiat Trade selling service will be temporarily locked for 24 hours after the mobile phone number has been changed.
